jsEng is a JavaScript based web server originally written by Chris Benjaminsen as a spare time project.

The web server is designed to run in Internet Explorer or as an HTA application, JavaScript, as the slow language it is, is not the best language to develop an application like this, therefore you might find the server performs bad, compared to other servers, and the final project should rather be seen as a proof of concept than a web server to host your web page.

jsEng is an open project and everybody is welcome suggest or create changes, the best of these will be implanted into the next version of jsEng and the creator be credited.

If you decide to create your own server based on the jsEng server just remember to credit the right people and link to this page, as it is the project’s main page.
